Dale Keefer Dies from Head-On Collision on Sterling Highway

Another person has died from injuries in a head-on collision on the Sterling Highway. Dale Keefer of Anchor Point died in the South Peninsula Hospital this last weekend from injuries sustained when the van he was riding in was hit head-on by a vehicle that crossed over the centerline on Saturday morning.

Four other passengers and the driver of the vehicle in which Mr. Keefer was riding were also injured and taken to the hospital.

Johnson Beard & Trueb, PC has handled many cases arising out of collisions on the Sterling Highway. A surprisingly large number have involved head-on crashes. If you are driving during the winter on the Sterling Highway, PLEASE slow down, pay close attention to that center line, and watch out for other vehicles that might lose control. ALWAYS wear your seatbelt and make sure everyone else in your vehicle does the same.

There will need to be an Estate opened for Mr. Keefer, and a Personal Representative appointed by the court to act on behalf of the Estate in pursuing a wrongful death claim for the death of Mr. Keefer and for compensation for the losses of his family members and heirs.

The other victims in the crash are also entitled to compensation for both their economic and non-economic losses.

Insurance should be available to pay for all of the bills and other losses and harm, through the at-fault-driver's liability insurance policies, as well as through insurance coverage for the van, its driver, and other insurance coverage for the individuals involved.

We encourage victims of serious car accidents such as this to always find an attorney with extensive experience in both personal injury as well as insurance coverage issues. There is often additional coverage, of which the victims are unaware and insurance adjusters do not mention, available to pay for losses. Contact our firm today to learn about our firm and how we can maximize your compensation after a car accident in Alaska.
